Proper Picks: Gear of the Week (3rd February)

It’s been a while since we did one of these and with some mega releases this week, we thought it was time we did another. With Christmas out of the way, January no longer sucking the life out of us, it’s probably a good idea to start spending money on clothes and trainers again isn’t it?

This week alone has seen the likes of Albam and Patagonia all release mint apparel, while Blacksmith Store have dropped some of the nicest overshirts we’ve ever seen. Read on and give your 2020 look a little re-up.

adidas ZX 10,000 C
£129.95, Well Gosh

Crafted from a mix of materials including mesh underlays, soft suede overlays and coloured up in a clean White, Pink and Teal colourway, the latest ZX is boss.
Albam Wool Hoody
£250.00, Albam

Based on a classic jersey hoody, but updated in a Portuguese soft and compact wool, this Albam hoody feels as good as it looks. Cut loose so it can be worn as a jacket or layered inside a big coat for the colder days.
Kangaroos Coil-R1 MiG ‘Chinese New Year’
£300+, Klekt

Chinese New Year is great, but what makes it better? The gear brands make to celebrate it. Kangaroos have released some, quite simply, top drawer belters.
Technical Ripstop BDU Jacket
£80.00, Blacksmith Store

If there was an award for Best Overshirt of the Year 2020 then Blacksmith would have it wrapped up already. Coming in 3 colourways (grey, mustard and navy), this Technical Ripstop jacket has pockets glaore, which is always a good thing.
Nike Air Max 97 Golf Grass
£300+, Klekt

A classic trainer with some mega novelty grass to finish off. What more do you want from a shoe?
Patagonia Houdini Snap-T Pullover
£100.00, Oi Polloi

As its name suggests, the Houdini Snap-T Pullover from Patagonia is quite magical indeed. It’s got the same design of Patagonia’s time-honoured Synchilla Snap-T fleeces, but instead of fleece, it’s made out of some summertime-friendly, ultra-lightweight ripstop fabric.
Novesta German Army Sneaker
£135.00, Dover Street Market

Known for their chunky Star Master plimsolls, Novesta now releases its German Army Sneaker, a new silhouette in the family. These come in black as well, but this clean white colourway is certainly our favourite.

Absolutely well into house plants.
