How ace is that video? Originally released back in 1994 the Saucony AYA is a bonafide lightweight road running trainer that was state of the art shoe back in the day. Which is perhaps why it still looks super tech 25 years later on in as it makes it’s return to a new generation of fans. Featuring a woven stability strip that runs from the ankles to the toes that reinforces the lightweight upper, the midsole is based on a foundation of Maxlite EVA foam, with Saucony’s ‘Ionic’ cushioning system added at the rear. Which means that you could still actual run a marathon in these bad boys though I don’t recommend you do that because you’d only end up getting them covered in blood, sweat and lucozade.
