Syndicate is a Ukrainian streetwear brand that perhaps surprisingly takes it’s inspiration from ‘Western freedom’ and ‘Japanese eclecticism’ rather than hopping onto any current post-Soviet fashion bandwagons. In fact their mandate is to seek an audience where fake adidas is ranked higher than real Rubchinsky with the aim of their AW16 ‘Outsider’ collection being to combine originality with practicality and to provide self-expression without extravagance. The brand has emerged from the country’s young and rebellious capital Kiev and offers a refrshingly different angle on what the cool kids in the ‘Second world’ are into.
