ALso in celebration of the launch of the collection and the fourth annual Global Climbing Day, The North Face and Brain Dead are hosting a YouTube Live conversation with change-makers and pioneers from the climbing community on August 22. Key topics include diversity, inclusion and building a more equitable future — starting with gyms and mountaintops. The innovative ALL RISE, program created by Long Beach Rising, Brain Dead, and The North Face Global Climbing Athlete Ashima Shiraishi, is a key partner of this year’s Global Climbing Day celebration. Designed to increase access to climbing and create a pipeline for job opportunities for underserved youth in the local community, ALL RISE aims to create a scalable blueprint for climbing gyms to build programming with and in support of local communities.
