The People’s City Exhibition by The Refuge & British Culture Archive

Founded in 2017 the British Culture Archive is a goldmine of pre-internet imagery set up to document the changing face (and quite often footwear) of British society from the last half of the twentieth century. Set up by our mate Paul Wright he’s kicking off a locally themed exhibition in his/our home town of Manchester at the end of this month at the amazing Refuge on Oxford Road.

Featuring imagery from the likes of Peter Walsh, Richard Davis and Rob Bremner, the launch night on Thursday the 30th of Jan will also see myself and Paul on the decks alongside Luke Unabomber, Glenn Kitson and Abigail Ward. So be sure to get down there early to take in all the archival vibes. Oh and if you fancy getting involved in the BCA Crowdfunder click here to give this amazing project a permanent space.
