Inspired by vintage hiking kit and the Sarek region of Northern Sweden, Tretorn and Nigel Cabourn have collaborated once more for AW20. Featuring a three-in-one jacket and a water repellent backpack both pieces combine functional detail and timeless design with a respect to the natural environment. The outer jacket is made of fabric with recycled nylon from fishing nets and other consumer waste whereas the inner is constructed from polyester from recycled PET bottles, both inner and outer jacket being 100% waterproof, breathable and durable.
Whilst the bag has been inspired by vintage hiking backpacks and made for outdoor adventure as well as the daily commute. Nigel had this to say about the AW20 collection: “Tretorn introduced me to Sarek in Northern Sweden, one of Europe’s last true wilderness areas, which I found very exciting and inspirational. The result is that each item in this collaboration has a sense of the place that inspired it and is made with care and respect to this natural environment – underpinned by Tretorn’s credentials through the Eco Essentials initiative”.
The Tretorn x Nigel Cabourn AW20 collection launches this Friday (16.10.20) at tretorn.com.
