Weekend Wears – Mephisto, Stone Island, Still by Hand and more

This Weekend Wears, we think anyway, is a nice, grown-up way to do the end of autumn and the beginning of winter, with a nice combination of materials and layering.

Oi Polloi x Mephisto Rainbow Mamouth

We’ve long known that Mephisto represent the pinnacle of walking shoe technology, and they own it in way that doesn’t outright declare its orthopedic properties to the world. The latest Oi Polloi rendition mixes up the hues while keeping the Rainbow’s distinct stitching distinguishable.

Stone Island Green Edge Jeans from Gone Fishing Vintage

You can’t really beat a pair of reliable blue jeans, whether they be a pair of classic 501’s or something more exciting. Something more exciting, in this case, is a pair of pre-2000s Stone Island jeans with the green edge on the back. The badge is just a good touch on a simple piece of clothing, and Gone Fishing Vintage over on Oldham Street has loads.

Still by Hand Bal Collar Coat

It’s the same old story: take something to Japan and watch them refine and perfect it. In this case, we’ve got a coat silhouette that’s seen countless iterations from the likes of Burberry, Barbour, Aquascutum and the like. It’s a big collared wool number that’s sophisticated and timeless, but its seen some modernist tweaks resulting in an ever-so-slightly boxier fit.

Head to This Thing of Ours to pre it.

A Cold Wall Zip Hoodie

A coat of this callibre and style deserves a hoodie underneath. There’s not a lot to say about it – a white hood worn up over a toffee brown coat just works. Samuel Ross’ ACW zip hoodie does the trick, bringing a bit of street style to this otherwise grown-up outfit.

Adsum Overdyed Hat

Now we’ve started, it makes sense to dial in on the street a lit bit, and Adsum is perfect for that. The cherry on the top makes the ensemble look just a lil bit Aimé Leon Dore – if we say so ourselves.
