Woolrich SS22 collection presents a sense of closeness to the outdoors.
The Woolrich SS22 collection, titled “10 Miles Style” is designed to showcase the versatility of the outdoors by drawing attention to how items can be compatible for a wide array of activities, from river running and cycling to fishing.
Drawing on Woolrich’s textural history, the inner layers of the collection are designed to match the outerwear options, with the mingling of wool, linen and cotton with technical fibres.
“We explore the desire for comfort in things around us. The designs use soft, comfortable materials that are cool to the touch and provide the natural functions of wool and linen.”
Stand out pieces from the collection include the Fisherman Anorak based on an older archive model. Crafted from Pertex Quantum Diamond Fuse mini-ripstop nylon, the cross-section of the yarn creates a weave structure that resists surface friction.
Another key item is the Tie Dye hoodie and shorts, a nylon set that’s piece-dyed which creates an uneven colouring and crinkled texture. The items are lined with mesh for comfort and in anticipation of watery scenes.
