Woolrich x Griffin Studio AW18

Whilst we’re still getting our maximum enjoyment out of AW17’s big coats it’s still worth having a glance at what we’ll all be going nuts for in AW18. Massive coat maestros Woolrich have got together with Jeff Griffin and his highly esteemed, big coat making studio for a very special collaborative project.  Jeff & his Loveland farm team have reinterpreted and updated two Woolrich classics, namely the original Arctic Parka and the Smock anorak which will be offered in a selection of ‘1830’ pieces in celebration of the year Woolrich was founded. Using a high-visibility orange lining to full effect that’s consistent with the outdoor focus of the brand, who’ve been producing outerwear in this colour variation since day one. The iconic Woolrich Buffalo check also makes a welcome re-appearance on hoods and pockets as another nod to the brand’s origins and the first fabrics created in their legendary Mill (one of the oldest still operating vertical woollen mills). Griffin have also produced an exclusive, ultra-light photographic camouflage which sits within a three-layer polyester canvas to reflect heir own military inspired garments. Quite a lot to take in isn’t it? At least we’ve got until August to have our minds fully blown by these fantastic coats of the future.
