If there is one UK brand that can stand solidly apart from the others when it comes to outerwear, it’s got to be Barbour.
Like many of the most enduring brands it was founded on the premise of problem-solving, providing waterproof waxed cotton garments for North Sea fishermen. Today, this icon of British clothing culture continues to release problem-solving outerwear, even if sometimes the problem is less about harsh weather and more about answering the question “What’s the next nice jacket I’m gonna buy?”
