We’re not quite sure how such a revered and long-established brand do what they do, but Columbia appear to have cracked it. They’ve created the perfect spring/summer smother and they’re selling it the type of price even your tight mate won’t baulk at. Seemingly comparable jackets are out there for almost twice the price, so we’re not sure what the catch it, but we’re here for it.
The Challenger is indeed Columbia’s most challenging outerwear piece, in that it lays down a marker for all other brands and says “beat that”. And most of them can only shrug.
