Gramicci make very wearable, everyday casual clothing with a climbing aesthetic. Taion do the whole padded outerwear thing with some aplomb, using down feathers and polyester taffeta. It’s a natural partnership between two brands with Japanese HQs.
You may be familiar with Gramicci already, or at least you should be. The story of their formation is well documented. Taion though, is one of those newer brands from Asia that seems to have seeped into the UK under the radar. That Japanese ability to simplify things is evident, taking away anything extraneous and somehow creating more as a result. Taion means ‘body temperature’ in Japanese, apparently.
As we all start upping our layering game this partnership has elbowed its way to the forefront and we’re looking forward to seeing how well it goes down. Yes that’s a down joke.
