Iceland meets England via Ranra SS23

In the midst of the stubbornly sticky gorpcore trend are a number of brands that take the outdoor aesthetic and interpret it through numerous different lenses. At the more commercial end are the brands we often cover here on Proper, while a more directional approach comes from brands like Ranra.

Taking the familiar inspiration from nature and urban spaces, you get the impression Ranra are plotting their own path, with founders Arnar Mār Jōnsson and Luke Stevens employing a pretty holistic approach to design. As their names would suggest, there is influence from both Iceland and the UK in Ranra, with the duo having developed the brand while together at the Royal College of Art.

Anyway, we won’t give you the full lowdown or there’ll be nothing for you to find out and you won’t end up clicking on this link.
