Nanamica Launch Collaborative Book

Japanese brand Nanamica (henceforth stylised without the capital letter) have collaborated with New York and Copenhagen-based photographers Anthony Thomas and Theophilos Constantinou on a limited-edition photo book called Slow Collapse.

It’s yet another example of how what are ostensibly clothing brands are increasingly turning their creative skills to projects outside of clothing. That said, the visuals from this book feature on a couple of t-shirts, released alongside it.

The two artists share the same concerns and love for the natural world, which led to them the Far East, home of nanamica. Documenting Japan’s relationship with the earth, particularly water, led them to collaborating with the brand whose own values are embodied by the slogan ‘One Ocean, All Lands’.

You can get the book and tees from 16th March
