Having just spent a thoroughly enjoyable 24 hours with the New Balance design team in an incredibly sunny Liverpool I can confirm that this new version of the 247 shoe is an absolute cracker. Created as the meeting point between lifestyle and sport the new 247 has a more substantial upper than the original the new design also takes inspiration from the classic NB Rollbar technology with it’s medial TPU stability post. The outsole is also on a newness tip with a dashing combination of current performance aesthetic combined with the original 247’s DNA. Whilst new tooling has allowed for some very ‘summer of love’ style colour blocking options along the entire outer sole to complete what for me is the ultimate all-nighter shoe for modern sensibilities, so make sure you pop a pair on before hitting the white island this summer.
