Sound the fanfare, flash the lights, there’s a new drop of Stone Island in at Aphrodite and we’re all very excited.
This mixture of seasonal sweats and technical outerwear does that thing Stone Island seem to do so effortlessly, basically bringing newness without straying very far from what is already established. While the whole range is pretty immense, the standout piece is the above Shadow Project jacket made from an ecologically sound nylon (called, suprise, surprise Econyl).
Brands with so much in the way of technical and synthetic fabics face a tough task to remain sustainable. Stone Island don’t shirk away from this though. The Econyl Waffe Print jacket is created by recycling end-of-life nylon from waste such as fishing nets. There’s plenty more info out there on the process itself, should you have the required interest in it. Whether you do or don’t, what we can all agree is Stone Island are still more than capable of making really, really nice outerwear aren’t they?
