Proper Picks: Gear of the Week 7th – 13th October

It’s been a while since we picked some of our favourite things and with this week seemingly full of great gear, we thought it was about time we did another. It’s that weird time of year that sees us approaching Christmas, which often means hiding your purchases from your other half, and if that’s case with you, let’s at least make it worth it.

From Nike, Stone Island and a new adidas SPZL release, here’s some of the best gear we’ve seen from over the past week or so. God speed!

adidas SPZL Reversible Gilet
£159.00, END Clothing

Probably the stand out piece from the latest adidas SPEZIAL collection, this reversible gilet has come at the perfect time too. It’s damp and chilly, so a gilet makes for the perfect middle layer, as well as an ideal outer layer too. The season of versatility is upon us once again!
Nike Zoom Pegasus 36 Trail Gore-Tex®
£129.95, Nike.com

Big fan of Nike and a massive fan of Gore-Tex, so when the former brings out a trail shoe that’s completely fucking Gore-Tex, it’s always going to be good. Double Zoom Air units underfoot offer a springy feel, while an aggressive traction pattern helps you keep your footing wherever you run.
Stone Island Popover Corduroy Shirt
£265.00, Oi Polloi

I was really into the rust version of this that came out last month and I was pretty sure it was the best thing to happen to 2019. That was until they released this dusty green colourway, which tops the lot. Thanks to the fabric it’s warm and chunky, making for ultimate comfort and the ideal layering garment. No buttoned patch on the arm also means you won’t get filled in walking home from the pub too, which is a bonus.
Novesta Rubber Sneaker
£89.00, Novesta

Rubber trainers are the way forward you know. Canvas doesn’t cope too well in the mud and rain, as everyone knows, but cover it in waterproof rubber and you’re really onto something. Novesta continue to do good things and it’s something we’re big fans of. These also come in a black or navy colourway too.
Danton Fleece Jacket in Black
£155.00, The Hambledon

Danton are one of the most exciting brands around at the moment, and their Fleece Jacket is another example of their great transitional clothing to wear either solo or as an extra layer. It’s made from a super soft fabric, resulting in the perfect insulated, lightweight fleece.
Sebago x Pendleton
£210.00, Sebago

We wrote about these earlier in the week, but wanted to reiterate how great these are. A Pendleton rework on a classic Sebago Moccasin – what’s not to like? Check out the full collection here.
Barbour Switun Quilt Jacket
£219.00, Oi Polloi

It’s time for Barbour and their second best coat of the year (second only to their collaboration with Hikerdelic, of course). This is the Switun Quilted Jacket, a coat made for arctic expeditions and a Wetherspoons smoking area. The fleece-lined hood makes for ultimate comfort, while the big pockets mean you can take a few bags of Monster Munch with you wherever you go too.
Presented By Crewneck Sweartshirt
£75.00, Presented By

Trainer aficionados Presented By have delved into the world of clothing again, this time bringing us their own PB collection. This Crewneck Sweatshirt is made with bonded fabric and features the brand’s logo on the left breast. It’s warm, simple, yet perfect for this time of year. The Presented By collection is also available at Harvey Nics.

Absolutely well into house plants.
