Yeah that’s right, Julius Tart. It’s a sunglasses brand with generations of history, not something off a pretentious menu.
Julius Tart created some of the most iconic sunglasses frames when he started his brand in the 1940’s. Today, Julius Tart is owned by the founder’s nephew and designed and produced in Japan with quality materials, in a way only the Japanese sensibility seems to truly appreciate.
Using silhouettes inspired by the past with the modern wearer in mind, they recreate the iconic frames using inherited archival material as design reference to bring back the Julius Tart Optical brand back to life.
Various versions are available and while they’re not a whimsical purchase, they’re defo an investment.
