Epperson Mountaineering was founded in 1973 by Mark Epperson, in Montana, USA.
His vision was, back then, the same today; he couldn’t find any other backpacks that satisfied his demanding need for high-quality packs. As was the norm in those days, when demand outstripped supply, Mark trained artisan pack makers to create Epperson Mountaineering backpacks for local people and consumers from around the world. That skill base may not be as prevalent as it once was, and yet all Epperson Mountaineering packs are still made in the USA by artisan pack makers, using the finest materials such as 1000 denier cordura, YKK zippers, mil-spec tubular webbing and reinforced seam-sealed inner compartments to guarantee long-term strength and durability.
One thing we didn’t realise and therefore perhaps you didn’t either, was Epperson’s forays into clothing, away from their traditional packs. These are right up our street too, and seemingly only available at Clutch Cafe
