Stepping towards spring like some kind of minty biscuit, this 998 looks like it’s inspired by a pistachio infused cup of coffee or something. Basically, what we’re saying is, it’s brown and green and we like those colours together. As for the model, you don’t need that selling to you. It’s a 998, FFS.

When it comes to the outdoors, our head tells us to go for seriously technical outdoor brands these days, but our heart belongs to ACG, whose beautiful suede boots will do a decent job in the outdoors anyway, but might serve you better as you parade the pavements in your GORPY garms.

We don’t cover Spezial enough on here, you know. There I said it. We’ve done plenty, but it warrants more than an inclusion in a round-up like this. Named after founding member of ACR Martin Moscrop (like our own Hikerdelic jacket several years ago), and coming in cordura, this is a compelling concrete offering for the commencement of the rainy season.

Even cool people have ingrowing toenails, and it is for them this shoe appears to have been made. Comfort is key, and the lack of laces in favour of straps will polarise views. We’re on the side of “yeah you know what, the people I hate won’t like them, therefore I’m in”.
