In celebration of the anniversary of their 1987 expedition to Everest, The North Face have released a sustainable capsule collection featuring re-imaged versions of some of their most iconic extreme weather apparel.
In 1987, The North Face’s Director of Equipment, Sally McCoy was halted by extreme weather conditions in her bid to become the first American woman to climb the peak though it was this learning curve that led to the development and creation of the Lhotse, Pumori and Sagarmatha pieces. All of which feature in this new collection having been crafted rafted with 100% recycled fabrics, in order to preserve the Himalayas for the next generation of explorers.
