Universal Works’ SS24 marks 30th Collection!

This year marks the 15th anniversary for Nottingham based label Universal Works, a brand that feels like it has been around for a lot longer – and we mean that in a good way of course!

Not only does 2024 mark such a telling landmark, this latest SS24 collection is also UW’s 30th seasonal presentation, and as ever it is one we have been excited to look at, capturing an eclectic mix of summer vibrancy with those effortless staple shapes as well as newness. The brand’s mission remains the same, ‘to help people feel good by dressing good’. Clothing made with peace, love, and soul at its core.

For SS24, UW reconnects with a sensory feeling. In an increasingly demanding digital world where people still need physical connection, touch, feel, and beauty, this collection encapsulates them all, with textures, colour, subtlety and expression delivered throughout. This is clothing designed and made by real people for real people.

Featuring a tactile range of earthy and soulful fabrics, waffles, towelings, slub cottons, and seersuckers showcased in a meditative palette of natural colours. Light cumin, sand, lilac, and light blue coexist alongside military-inspired hues of olive and navy, all conveyed with a sense of peace and humility. It’s a palette, texture, and feeling, that emanates from a deeper place than inspiration or cultural reference points. It comes from the soul.
