Aphrodite Spring Showers Look Book

Aphrodite gets set for a Spring Shower

As the past couple of weeks has shown, the weather can change at the drop of a hat. Is it sunny? Rainy? Snowy? We don’t even know anymore. One thing is for sure though, Aphrodite has some quality gear that’ll protect you from the elements.

You know the score, right? You set off to work, the sun cracking the pavement, and as soon as you’re halfway there it starts chucking it down. Check out these four stylish ‘fits that’ll keep you cool, dry and most importantly, on-trend during any spring shower.

Featuring a lightweight, packable Polartec jacket from CP Company, this fit is sure to keep you warm when the wind picks up. A trusty Norse Projects sweat is the perfect layering piece, breathable enough to wear under outerwear and stylish enough to wear as a standalone piece if you decide to lose the jacket. Norse Projects chinos keep things casual while effortlessly complimenting the sweatshirt. On-foot, who else but Novesta with their Marathon Trail Runner in tones of beige and orange, a true all-rounder trainer with subtle branding and timeless style. A highly functional CP hat tops off the fit, and there’s more than meets the eye with this piece, with its nylon construction offering natural water repellency. Perfect for protecting your eyes from the sun, and your head from the rain!

Our second outfit arrives courtesy of Patagonia, with both headwear and a jacket making an appearance. For those in the know, Patagonia is one of the best outdoor brands out there and their constant efforts to become even more environmentally friendly is something we can get behind. Both the cap and Isthmus Jacket are made using cotton fabrics that have been intertwined with fishing nets sourced directly from the ocean. Elsewhere in the ‘fit, a Rains fleece adds a warm lining that can be easily removed if things heat up. Denim from Carhartt WIP gives a more casual, street look while Paraboots on-foot finish off the look with a touch of class.

If you’re gearing up for certain bad weather, then surely there’s only one option that comes to mind. Gore-Tex. Fully waterproof, windproof, and breathable. There’s no reason not to have a Gore-tex jacket, that’s why this choice from Scandi brand Norse Projects is a clear no-brainer! Dressed in a bright yellow for the ultimate gorp-core look this quality jacket can be easily packed down into your backpack if the showers begin to clear up. Navy Carhartt WIP Johnson chinos provide the comfort and durability expected from the workwear brand. While adidas’ Earlham trainers offer a classic simple white trainer to finish the ‘fit.

Closing off our Spring Showers lookbook with pure streetwear vibes we look to two brands that truly go hand in hand. Carhartt and Stussy. The Carhartt Prospector Jacket provides shelter from the rain with its natural water repellent nylon build. Arm vents allow for increased breathability if necessary while multiple large pockets provide protection for valuables such as your phone, wallet, etc. A Carhartt bucket hat provides 360 degrees of protection from the sun while serving as a rain hat if the heavens open. A nifty pocket tops the cord detailing of the bucket hat. A staple Stussy sweat adds to the look, with its large rear graphic exposed if you take off the jacket. The looks are finished off with handy Albam workwear trousers and the highly eco-friendly Veja V-10 trainers
