Follow the winter trail – Five seasonal shoes for peaks and pub

A greasy gathering of leaves underfoot, a loose paving slab with water booby-trapped underneath, slippy steps and terraces to be approached with trepidation, autumn is definitely the season to give your shoe game a seasonal shake up. Whatever purpose you’ve got in mind, there’s always plenty of newness on show anyway, and we’ve put together a little list of stuff that caught our eye this week.

Merrell 1TRL Moab Mesa Luxe 1TRL – Olive/Otter
Via their 1TRL line, Merrell have somehow created something fresh and new that still bows in reverence to the hiking and adventure footwear of the 90s. Salomon XT-Quest 2 – Falcon/Cement/Bright Green
Robocop wears these to walk his dog, probably. They’ve got an air of reliability about them, with that rugged outsole, and the lacing system is pretty futuristic too.

ROA Katharina – 114 Brown Gum
A relatively newcomer, ROA have made all the right moves in their short life so far. The gum sole is a highlight and it comes in colours that make me really fancy a coffee.

Moncler x Salehe Bembury Trailgrip Grain Low Top Sneakers – 23E Green
In these times of AI, I refuse to believe these shoes are real until I see a physical pair. They’re mental aren’t they? Brilliant really. The fact I’m referencing AI is probably testament to the eyecatching design, colours and sheer detail on these. And how comfy do they look? They’re a considered purchase with a price tag that’ll rule out many in these times of austerity, but the shape and everything.. they’re majestic.
