Hanon is the gift that keeps giving this year. They round off their outerwear offerings for this season with this; the waxed Scanlon jacket.
There’s some lovely influences at work here, effortlessly blending hunting and work wear elements. Nice features include a discreet zipped welt pocket on the chest and a detachable hood to add versatility. It looks just as good with the hood on as it does with if off. The images probably don’t do this jacket justice, in fact we think this is one of them that looks ‘better on’. Everyone needs a decent waxed jacket. Made from Halley Stevenson’s waxed P200 Aero fabric, a lighter alternative to traditional ‘heavy’ waxed garments, you won’t have to worry about sinking to the bottom of the canal when you fall in pissed at 4am. Not that that ever happened to me. I avoid canals and heavy jackets for other reasons… the longer walk home is more scenic anyway.
