If you were around in 1988 then you’ll know just what a special year it was, whether we’re talking about acid house in the UK or overseas olympic action. Fortunately this Hummel trainer epitomises that year for those of you not old enough to remember or just too frazzled to remember how sportswear and repetitive beats joined forces on the dance-floor back then. It’s a faithful reissue of the OG shoe worn by the French Handball team in the Seoul Summer olympics of ’88 and features a full grain leather upper and rubber outsole with some super comfy towel lining. I’m not sure how the French handball team got on that year but I do know that they won the gold medal for cool af trainers.
