Kasperi Re-Launch the Sturdiest Backpack in the World

If you’re anything like us, one look at Kasperi’s imagery will have you swooning. It’s so rough, so rustic, so outdoorsy. There’s men and women pondering the distant lakes, reflecting on geomorphic conditions that created the huge expanses in front of them. At the centre of it all is a bag – not just any bag, but a yak leather fold top bag that screams sturdiness, preaches preparation, and lasts a lifetime.

“We dream of a world where things are repaired and passed on instead of discarded. Design and construction should be testaments to functionality, longevity, and serviceability.” That’s straight from the mouth of Janne Kasperi Suhonen, one half of Kasperi, who founded the Finnish brand in 2010. Since then, they’ve been gradually releasing products at a glacial rate, slowly drip-feeding quality into the market. As you can tell by the views in the Finnish countryside, all of the best things are made in no rush, just like those mountains that were carved out in the last ice age, where the gradual build up, freeze and release of water sculpted beauty into the landscape.

In 2019, Suhonen and Micheal Tervanen, his business partner, were able to make the leap from a personally-funded passion project to full-time mission. Nine years of iterative development has paid off, and now, Kasperi’s products are made in small batches in Forssa, Finland, where all items are ordered with a pre-order model.

Pre-order Kasperi’s Fold Top bag now, where you can expect to be graced, in no less than 2 or 3 months, with one of the most thought out and attentive products we’ve seen in a long time.
