THE COMPETITION HATH ENDED! WE HAVE A WINNER!

Thanks for entering everyone, the lucky winner has been picked, congratulations to Mark from Eastleigh, who’ll be getting hisMastrum Sniper jacket very soon. Keep your eyes peeled for more competitions coming soon.

Our new mate Mark, looking forward to some stylish Snipering.

To help celebrate two great things that are happening in mid-November, i.e. the arrival of Proper Mag issue ten and the launching of MA.STRUM’s online shop. Our good friends over at Mastrum have given us this amazing sniper jacket (with wool liner R.R.P. £675) to give away to one of you very lucky readers. Anyone who knows their stuff will be familiar with this relatively new label who are faithfully carrying the ‘innovative outerwear’ torch originally lit by creative legend/genius Massimo Osti. Creating some amazing clothes we’re sure the maestro would approve of.

To be in with a chance of winning this amazing jacket, you need to do two things:

Firstly, you need to sign up for the MA.STRUM newsletter here: www.mastrumonline.co.uk

Secondly, you need to post a comment below stating your jacket size and also the name of the best piece of outerwear you’ve ever owned.

The lucky winner will be announced in two weeks.  Keep up to date on the label here:

  1. Small or medium, whatever closest to 22 inch pit to pit.
My favourite jacket would be either Garbstore Mountain Providence in beige, or Albam hillwalker in burnt orange.
How I scowered the web for these to, and how flabbergasted I was when I purchased both of them.
    Proper christmast eve, but tenfolds!

  2. Best jacket was and still is a copa nova jacket, impossible to describe in less than a 1000 words, just a classic, A size large please

Size Medium please you kind folk,

Would have to say that my Fav item of outerware I have owned in years and years and years has to be my Norse projects Noreg oilskin, probably gonna be quite a popular one I know but it truley is one of the most inspiring garments I have ever owned. The mark of true luxury is not the grand gesture but the simple things done well.

  6. Southcoaster

    Size XL por favor

Fav jacket ? Changes almost daily, sometimes twice a day. CP Metropolis, REM, Barbour Cowen or CP Mille Miglia from 2003 honestly couldn’t pin it down to one.

  7. Size Medium and just took delivery of a Canada Goose Expedition parka that is my current all time best piece of Outerwear, followed closely by the C.P. Urban Protection “Glove” and the Levi’s ICD Armadillo parka.

  13. Mark Ellis

    Size XL Please

    Best Jacket….CP Metropolis original

  14. Small/smallest/36″ chest. I’m only little.

My favourite outwear piece has to be an old Swedish Military peacoat from 1974. It’s grey, it’s wooly, it keeps the cold out like a beauty and will probably last forever, unless it gets burnt or something. Slim enough to look sharp, but just loose enough to wave enthusiastically at nervous looking girls on a night out.

  15. Barry Moylan

Forgot to say a size xl for me please 🙂

Evening gents. In Ma. Strum i’m a Medium.

The best outerwear ever owned eh? Well i’ll go with a current garment i own, in the form of an immaculate condition 6876 Sonora in chocolate brown. Cannot fault it, thing of beauty! The colour, the fit, the way it falls and still manages to disguise my beer belly!

had so many great jackets/coats over the years………my favourite was a lightweight SI jacket, was devastated when I left it in the back of a taxi home from cardiff one night…….350 quid out the window, phoned the taxi company literally 5 mins later and surprise, surprise ‘no jacket there, sorry mate’, how i’ve hoped to see somebody walking around caerphilly wearing it……….

The best i have ever owned is the CP Company rabbit fur parka from 1987, it has a massive C.P.Company emroidered on the hood. It used to grey but i dyed it blue and it looks even better now 🙂

  33. medium for me

  34. Carl Hartopp

Love my clothes and jackets and coats are at the top of the clothes tree for me. Had many many great coats over the years Stone Island, CP Company etc but I suppose my favourite must be my current favourite my Baracuta leather jacket. I would be the largest size available normally.

  35. My best piece of clobber would be a C.P. Company Dynafil Field Jacket in green – amazingly understated, comfy, toasty and durable jacket!

Massively underrated next to all the Mille Miglias and stuff…

    Great competition, by the way!

  37. Size: Large

Best piece of outerwear……I think my 1999 CP Metropolis jacket, made even sweeter as I got it for half price in a January sale. I sold it last year to fund some decorating work on the house, one of my biggest mistakes!

  40. Rick green

    I’m an xl.

My best outerwear was a blue stonewash ‘mr spliffy’ jacket. With red lumberjack cuffs.

  41. Small please. Currently loving my Universal Works penine parker. Its like a small duvet inside. Minstrel buttons and leather togs – nice one.

  42. Wade Garrett

Best I’ve ever owned would have to be my CP Company Ink Goretex from 2003ish(???)

Size is probably XL – whatever 25″ pit to pit is!

  43. Mikael Persson

    I am a size Large.
