Patagonia’s efforts to pursue a sustainable planet are certainly no secret. The American outfitter is constantly seeking innovative ways to cut down on its carbon footprint, such as crafting items solely from recycled materials, or, opting for the use of PVC and phthalate-free inks across the board.
In every sense of the word, the brand’s latest Responsibili tee is sustainable. The design, available now at Aphrodite Clothing, is imagined under Patagonia’s ‘Worn Wear’ initiative – a scheme that hopes to prolong the lifetime of a garment by offering ‘wear and ‘tear’ repairs from its base in Nevada – now the biggest repair facility in Northern America.
Made from 4.8 plastic bottles and 0.26 pounds of fabric scrap, the silhouette saves on 63 gallons of water in total compared to using conventional cotton to craft – pretty impressive, we’ve got to hand it to Patagonia! The tee is finished with the label’s moniker proudly applied to the chest and the famous ridge logo to the reverse.
