I’ve been gazing at these trainers for quite some time now, looking at them in exactly the same way that I’d check something out that’d been tastefully placed upon a plinth in an art gallery. Maybe it’s because their marble/chalk colouring puts me in mind of a nice sculpture or drawing or it could be because they’ve achieved this mesmerisingly mellow colour by using Montana spray paint cans. Either way, they’re far too good to hit the streets in, instead I’m going to buy myself a pair to put on my shelf back home, the same one with all the Keith Haring and Basquiat books on it. They were both pretty big in the 1980s too weren’t they?
