Saucony Originals DXN Vintage Collection

Trainers are absolutely great aren’t they? Saucony have been making ones that look mega with shorts for over 100 years now, and for SS18 they’ve brought back the people’s favourite in the DXN.

A trainer that takes it name form New York City’s 1983 marathon winner Rod Dixon, the DXN was originally created to commemorate Rod’s rare achievement of running both a sub 3:52 mile and a 2:09 marathon.

What’s less well known is Dixon’s keen eye for design. His involvement in the design process of the DXN was huge to the silhouette’s success, with his obsession over it’s functional details being regularly put to the test as he ran hundreds of miles in various iterations of the shoe.

Yet to receive a reply to the email sent to Saucony on commemorating my sub-30 minute ParkRun last week, Saucony’s new drop will suffice for now. They’re available now from Saucony.com, size? and ASOS.

Absolutely well into house plants.
