Stone Island celebrates its 40th-anniversary, releasing a commemorative 82/22 collection in its honour.
The 40-year anniversary collection comes as part of the brand’s Spring/Summer 22 release, highlighting some of the brand’s best fits and fabrics combined with Stone Island’s innovative techniques of garment dying and construction.
A number of pieces from the commemorative collection seek inspiration from the past, using designs and colourways that the Italian brand first launched in the early 80s. Taking the pieces to another level, the brand have given them a customary touch with their innovative modern production methods used to produce the stand out drop.
A staple piece from the collection is the commemorative t-shirt which features embroidered, cursive “Stone Island” branding to the centre of the chest. And, crafted from pure cotton, the relaxed-fitting tee is breathable and lightweight, ideal for bright summer days.
Alongside the tee, Stone Island have released a unique cotton sweatshirt that features nylon side panelling with “82 22” entwined in the fabric as a homage to the brand’s service to the fashion industry. And to finish things off, the brand has included the iconic compass logo badge that has become synonymous with the brand over the years.
