London, Paris, Tokyo, Bolton everyone’s talking about mmm…. popular running shoes.
Universal Works have dropped some old school/new school trainer science on us via a hook up with British footwear legends Walsh refining their archive Ensign trainer to create something altogether more urban and very, very now. For the City Runner, Universal Works constructed the upper in luxe-materials; leather, suede and pigskin linings, simplifying the design and adding a soft comfortable midsole to create a clean and luxurious take on the Walsh staple. Available in three colour-ways representing the three big cities that have been integral to UW’s success: the Paris comes in stone/tan as a nod to the Haussmann building, Tokyo is navy representing the key colour of UW AKA indigo and London is all about black which is either to do with taxis or Universal Works recent presentation at London’s Collections: Mens. There’s something a bit ‘grown-up’ about these trainers, I reckon you could get away wearing a pair of these with a suit. Especially if you’re a dead cool architect or something along those lines. I proper love em.
