When seeking inspiration for SS19, YMC’s design brainiacs were having a day out at Blackpool Pleasure Beach. Shortly after riding the Pepsi Max Big One for the tenth time they spotted one of those stands selling seaside rock or similar stripy hard-boiled confectionary. The new collection suddenly became very apparent to them. True story*.
The stripe resurgence continues under YMC’s latest SS19 offering, along with a very summery collection of bright colours and lightweight fabrics. What’s that you say?… It’s only February and too early to be out buying summer gear? Well, with all this global warming malarkey, we should really be preparing for summer early this year. And yes, good things come to those who wait… but nothing good can come of missing out on this season when it inevitably sells out.
