New book shows the early years of C.P. Company

As the iconic brand C.P. Company celebrates its 50th birthday, these rare shots showing an uncommon insight into life at the brand in the 1970s have emerged.

They form part of a comprehensive book which is part of the ongoing programme of activity to reflect on their half century in existence.

The book boasts almost 500 pages and engages with 50 key characters in the C.P. Company story, from famous musicians to elusive designers, from passionate collectors to personal friends of founder Massimo Osti.

Our work with C.P. Company means we’re among the lucky few to have seen this already. It’s brilliant. It tells a uniquely human story which makes the pioneering brand all the more endearing.

In 1971, there was no history for C.P. Company – or Chester Perry as it was then known. Consequently they looked back into military styles for inspiration. Today, they have a vast heritage of their own, and while their eyes remain fixed to the front, they can be rightly proud of what they’ve achieved since the early days in Crevalcore, just outside Bologna.
